RESEARCHER PORTFOLIO

A CROSS-CULTURAL PERSPECTIVE

About me

Understanding mobility.
Connecting communities.

Exploring the human side of migration, rural life, and belonging — across Vietnam and Korea.

I am a doctoral researcher in Agricultural Economics at Jeonbuk National University, interested in how people move, adapt, and build a sense of belonging.

My work focuses on foreign seasonal workers and their relationships with rural communities in the Republic of Korea. With a background in Korean Studies and Agricultural Economics, I bring a cross-cultural perspective to questions of labor mobility, rural transformation, and agricultural cooperation.

I combine field-based and mixed-method research — from interviews and participant observation to survey design, quantitative analysis, and structural equation modeling.
